Good question Possum - I returned a brand new Corbin for my Honda ST1300 when it did NOT meet the claim they made that it make it easier for me to reach the ground. The Corbin may have meant my bum was closer to the ground, but it was so wide between my thighs, that I was actually stretching ½" further to the ground - now on tip toes.
I also realised the Corbin was twice the weight of my OEM seat (something not meantioned anywhere in their marketing material). The stock Honda seat (front and back) is 3.6 kg (8 lb); the Corbin was 7.4 kg (16 lb).
In the end, I had a custom leather job done locally for a lot less than half the price - by using the stock base and a hard "memory" foam (in the shape of the old farm tractor seats).
