It's totally irrelevant. First, the Chinese are perfectly capable of building excellent stuff. You're probably posting this on a Chinese built device. Second, KTM are not going to sacrifice millions of Euros spent on building a premium brand and allow it to be degraded by substandard parts, finish or assembly. They will insist on the same standards in all their factories and will have QC staff in place to make sure they get it. The difference? They save on labour costs, that's it.
Yes I know KTM have had technical problems from time to time but it's nothing to do with where they were built, the early Austrian models are the same. People need to get over their preconceptions over Chinese manufacture. Indeed the Chinese are making some pretty good bikes of their own now, with no need for European oversight.
