Carefull with those tyre pressures off road. In rocky going better off with higher pressures and less grip. I say this as the front (BEHR/SAXXIS) rims as fitted to both my 640 adventure and 990 adventure are soft and liable to be damaged (loads of past problems in Australia & USA).
My 640 has same manufacturer and size as 990 and has had 1 new rim under KTM warranty and needs another already!
I will be changing the front to a DID 1.85 in the future to finally resolve the problem.
Funny as the rear rim is undamaged!
The 990 is not used off road so no rim damage at present.
I run Dunlop D908RR tyres off road on the 640 and they are brilliant! that extra centre section does make the tyre last a little longer... pricey though..
just my 2pence worth....
