Real value of a Land Cruiser HJ60
Hi guys,
I’ve decided on a Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 for our overland trip… however having fun in trying to find one for sensible money … I missed out the on the recent project for £900 on the HUBB which sold for more like £1450 on ebay … they come up quite frequently for around £2000 - £2500 on ebay / auto trader and Andrew is offering his ready to go for £6000…
So would you agree one with MOT, minimal rust and not stratospheric miles, some form of history – some form of recent maintenance would be worth £2500 to £3500 then we’re into 80 series money …
Guess I’d better keep looking…
Cheers
Matt

Matt
consider very carefully what you want/can spend then look at ready made vehicles like Andrew's 60 series, etc
Then look at the cost of a 60 or 80, or W.H.Y. and then consider the cost an dtime of prepping and kitting your chosen vehcile.
Good luck

reading the spec of the one for sale for 6k i'd get the calculator out and work out the cost of the mods, you may find thats a good deal if you can pay all at once. you also get to use it at once and not spend ages tracking down kit , building , fixing etc .sold on projects are often a good buy and you know they work too

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
