I thought that the article is a little sketchy in places. When it was discussing the improvements in the efficiency of the various components it identified the inverter and that it was now 97% efficient - it then slips into discussing the solar panel efficiency with the implication that they were 97% efficient - this is a little difficult to believe compared to the most efficient on the market being 45% efficient
I would be happy to be wrong though.
If this can be done for a car then a light weight solar motorbike.....
