damascus - al haramain hotel,
don't go to al haramain hotel! good business must have gotten onto the management's head.
they are overbooked and you might end up without a room even if you have a reservation.
they won't even apologize and offer you a mattress on the terrace. this looks fine in the daytime but in the evening you'll find out that you'll have to sleep head to head with your neighbor, no space to stretch.
when they want to clean they'll send you out: "jalla!" move!!! in the process your luggage will be moved from one corner to another... make sure it's closed and locked.
half of the laundry i gave them had to picked up from the backyard where it was lying in the dust and when i refused to pay because a pair of socks were missing they called me a thief, claiming that i had made up the story in order to avoid payment.
it's a real petty because the building is great... but not worth being treated like a dog.
