Entering Iraq after Israel
Hi!
Anyone have any experience getting into Iraq from Kuwait after visiting Israel?
We tried to bargain with the border officers to not get a entry stamp from Jordan when we entered through the Eilat-Aqaba border but were unsuccessful and therefore, any insight to if it will cause a problem would be greatly appreciated.

Israel does not stamp your passport, they put the stamp on a paper instead.

I'm afraid I have no experience of this specific situation, and have not read of anyone who has. I'll volunteer my opinion, for what it's worth, that I very much doubt that the Iraqi border guards have an intimate knowledge of Jordanian border crossings. I also didn't get the impression that Iraq has the same sort of rabid ideological hatred of Israel that, for example, Iran as a state does.

For anyone that has the same question in the future: We had no problems whatsoever entering Iraq from Kuwait with Jordan entry stamps. We also talked with some other overlanders that experienced the same but who knows, might be smart to try to not get the entry stamp anyways!
Safe travels!

Does Jordan give you an entry stamp when crossing from Israel? I didn't get an exit stamp when I left Jordan via King Hussein Bridge...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
