Perhaps Dubai355 knows? He posted a 'welcome to Dubai' thread that he's still active in (see below).

I have never heard of a RORO ferry between India and any other country, even nearby Sri Lanka.
You can take a RORO ferry from Sharjah to Iran and then drive through Pakistan.... which I found to be the highlight of the Europe - India route.

Most countries import cars .. and they usually come on a RoRo ferry. These won't take passengers .. but you might be able to get a vehicle on one. Bikes less so - new bikes typically get crated for transport -cheaper that way, so RoRo ferries for new vehicles don't usually take bikes. Best bet is from a country that does not make cars to one that does make cars for the first country.

Hi
Once upon a time you could take a dhow from Dubai to India
It was done by Michael Palin in one of the BBC travel episodes.
Nowadays its strictly forbidden. You might find a dhow in Oman but its very unwise to sail in these waters.
RORO vessels from any line will not accept you either. Neither you nor your bike.
Your only option is to take a ferry in Sharsha to Iran and to drive overland to India. Possible but complicated
You can crate the bike and put it in a container and ship either by vessel or by plane. That would be the easiest.
Safe travel

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
