UK to Qatar 2014
Hi all,
I am in the early stages of planning next years trip, I need some help I originally planned to head through Italy then ferry to Tunisia then ride Libya, Egypt and Saudi to my destination. However the more research I do the more options present themselves, eg turkey, Iran.
Also trying to get a answer on visa's the RAC has been helpful but any other advice would be really useful.

It's close to impossible to get visa for Saudi if you are driving a bike. I'm not sure if it's easier in Qatar - but it might be.

Hi smokinglazarus,
If you are considering the Turkey - Iran option, there used to be a ferry from Bushehr to Qatar. On the website it is still mentioned but no schedule is given:
Ferry| Ferry Iran
What are you going to do with your bike (I assume it is a bike and not a car) after arriving at your destination. Do you want to continue from there?
Greetings,
Achim

Advice from Dubai
Hi there
I wish you a great & enjoyable planning period.
it will be easier if the ferry from Iran go directly to Qatar, as you can get Qatar Visa on arrival as European.
it’s true that you can’t get Saudi visa and you can’t cross over to Qatar on motorcycle as European, but the other option i can advice you with is
to get a ferry from bander Abbas to Sharjah, then have a ride to Abu Dhabi, after that you can ship the bike either throw road trucks cost around 200 Euro and get a plane for yourself to Qatar.
I have few trusted Riders in Qatar they can help you out
are you relocating to Qatar?
Regards
Saleh
