Currently in south morocco

I am currently in models, morocco and still haven't managed to get any vehicle insurance. Can anyone help with where I can get it?
The office at the border was shut, I asked Axa in chefchoan and they were no help.

Also is there an official border between morocco and Western Sahara?

Thanks

Can't help with a venue to buy insurance.
But at the many police checkpoints in the south none asked me for vehicle or insurance papers; just a passport.
Having a pre-prepared, typed fiche containing personal data was very useful. If you don't have one I recommend a trip to a cyber cafe - and approx 10 copies.
No border/formalities exists between the two regions - just the realisation that police at checkpoints in 'the north' wave-on a tourist.

As said above: There's no official border between Maroc and WS - that would mean Morocco accepting that they are separate countries!-) Lots more police checks down there though - just have plenty of fiches printed off with your and your vehicle's details and the entry number in your passport next to the entry stamp.
Most insurance offices in larger towns should sell you insurance, by the month. Look for "Assurance" signs and ask for (excuse my poor French grammar, spelling etc) "Je voudrais assurance pour mon voiture/moto pour un moin" (car/motorcycle for a month)
Bon chance!
Simon.

According to Moroccan law, you go to court and your vehicle will be impounded. Not to mention what happens in case of an accident. I would urge you to return Tetouan in the case they were not helpful in Chefchoan.

I rode through Morocco and Western Sahara in 2013 without insurance, and was never asked about it on the way down to Mauritania until I reached the last check point and had to pay a bribe to the officer to let me carry on.
From Mauritania down I always had insurance....Thinking about it now it is very important to have insurance as it would be a disaster if one has an accident while not insured.
