Mauritanian Visa in Rabat
Evening HUBB,
Going to the Mauritanian Embassy in Rabat on Monday morning to (hopefully!) get visas and be on our way.
Can anyone advise about secure parking nearby? Or is it better to get public transport in?
Also is it better / safe to head there the night before and stay in vehicle?
Any advice you can offer would be great, researching options, I've just read rather a lot of horror stories of queueing / being turned away etc and i'd rather call on advice and get it right first time! Thank you!

If it is as busy as it was when I was there in Nov 2013...spend the night in the vehicle or make sure you are there about 6-7 am.

Bit of feedback of our experience... We arrived the night before and slept in landy a bit further down the road from the embassy. From early in the morning, we kept checking for any signs of people outside the embassy and nobody. We went and stood outside at 8am and were joined by just 2 others in the queue. Doors opened at 8.45 and it was all plain sailing from there.
Perhaps there are less people inclined to go to Mauritania now with the dramatic rise in price for a visa?

Got my visa in Rabat today. There at 8:00, already a line of 20+. filled out two sided application, (all in French), need two passport photos, two copies of passport page and pay fee. Told it would be ready at 3:00, came back at 1:30 and it was ready.
Make sure to save the receipt they give you, that is what you turn in to get your passport back. Also application is thin paper don't bring felt pen like I did, it will bleed through. Some came with application filled out so I think it may be available on line.
