I'm working on a route now, I have about 7 days starting and finishing in Alicante, Spain. It should take me about 6 hours to the ferry, once I get into morocco I don't really want to be driving long distances for hours as I want to see the sights and take in the culture, and yes try and meet up with some people on my way around.

I'm working on a provisional route now. I'm trying to avoid the big cities as much as possible.
I'm looking at maps, googling the area to see what's around then getting the drive time from place to place trying to work a 6 day round route... I do like an adventure so it will probably change in practice. I'm thinking worse case scenario I could jump on a motorway back. Not my idea or fun but hey,ho

How long does it take to drive to merzouga / erg chebbi from Cuenta.
I read on here somewhere that google map times are not to be trusted

Ceuta-Chef is only about two an a half hours, so I'd allow an extra day. From Chef it's a bit of a haul through the Rif to Fes. Then you've got to get through Fes and head south on the N8 and N13.
Enjoy the trip,
Peter

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
