Hi, I´m Pekka from Finland and planning my first biketour to Morocco with my wife and Triumph R Touring. By ferry 25.03 from Helsinki to Travemunde and from there South to Barcelona and by ferry 29.03 to Tanger Med. First night in Fnideq and two following in Fez, then Midelt and Errashidia and to the West Ouarzazate for 2 nights and after that Marrakech for 3 nights and after that to Essauoira, Casablanca, Rabat and finally to Tanger and backt to Barcelona- Travemunde -back in Finland 19.04. About 4 weeks alltogether and 6-7000 km ?and shoul´d be easy enough for the first visit.

Hi Pekka,

Welcome to the HUBB!

It's a great time of year to visit Morocco. Not too cold by day in the mountains and warming up in the south. Lots of places will be very green.

Have a great trip,

Peter

I just returned to Finland from my first two weeks trip in Morocco. Was driving about 2500 km South over the Atlas and back along Atlantic ocean. Great country and nice people. Hope I can go again during this year. Roads were good for my Rocket 111 touring.

the only thing I found the once I did it at that time of year was about 1600 in the afternoon it got very windy, kicking up a bit of a sandstorm. Don't know if we were just unlucky or if it's a climatic feature of that time of year.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
