The testing requirement info is correct at the moment, proof that of full vaccination and a negative PCR within 48hrs.
La Meridionale posted an update on their social media on the 28th saying they are unable to confirm crossing and will text message customers as necessary. In the website the first ferry you can purchase tickets for is the 13th April. However, as we have seen before, this doesn’t mean it will definitely sail.

Reports are saying an immediate but gradual reopening at the moment with lots of references to the summers Operation Marhaba.
I expect we will see more details over the next few days

The official document is quite clear I think, proof of vaccination or negative PCR within 72hrs
Balearia, GNV and La Meridionale all resume ferry services from France, Italy and Barcelona after the 14th.
Balearia FRS and Trasmedditeranea all show no ferries available from southern Spain at the moment.
Algeciras Port Authority says its not ready and will meet on Monday to review the situation and hopefully announce when passenger services can resume.

No need for a PCR test is a big help! Was researching where to pick one up between Bilbao and Barcelona and it wasn’t a simple task in the time I had.

I can’t see if the border with with Ceuta is opening from reading the translation I’m heading toward southern Spain now and wouldn’t mind catching a ferry from Algeciras to Ceuta and ride through into Morocco. Just wondering if I can bypass the wait for a ferry to tanger?

Ceuta border will stay closed until the end of the month at the earliest. They have some construction/improvement work to complete before it opens

Check-in time in Barcelona
For the GNV ferry at Barcelona for Tanger, do you know what is the check-in time for people with motorbikes?
On the GNV site they say 4h before the ship departure for people with vehicules, it seems like a lot of time??

If the say 4h then it’s 4h or they can refuse boarding if you arrive late .
I’ve only used GNV to get back to Europe after the first lockdown and getting on the ship to over 6 hours at the Morocco end.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
