Hi Miquel, over christmas i stayed here About the Hotel in Marrakech and put my bike in a garage in the courtyard, super safe, and left it there for ten days as i hired a car to show Morocco to my family. He charged me 20 dh a day ( 2 euro ).
On return to hotel bike was untouched and everything was great. would use hotel and garage again without hesitation.

PS I also stayed with peter at the bikers rest, also a good call and to get there it is a fantastic road over the mountains.

Thanks for informing about this hotel.
Most probably, I'll ride Morocco next summer for my holidays and for sure I'll give it a try.
According to their website, sounds pretty and cheap + biker friendly according to your experience!

Most of the places other than the uk !! are biker friendly....found a great source of info here Morocco GS Knowledgebase - ::. UKGSer.com .::
and you can see what i got up to here ! stu dowell | lost presumed fed | Travel Blog.

I had to fly to Scotland due to family illness leaving the bike behind in Morocco. The V5 papers (carte gris) and keys are with the Moroccan customs together with the original temporary import forms, and the bike is in Bikershome garage.

I then got an 80dh bus ticket to Marrakech and flew back with Easywhatsit to Luton, then another flight to Aberdeen.

As I understand it the clock is no longer ticking for the six month limit on using a vehicle in Morocco. I expect to fly back in a few weeks and resume the piste bashing.

I've recently returned from a trip top Marrakech from Diss in the UK (via Spain and Portugal)

Parking is suprisingly easy in most places I stopped. On average expect to pay around 10Dirhams (about 1euro) per day/night. Don't be suprised if some guys ask for more. Haggle! 20 Dirhams is acceptable, any more and i fear they are taking you for a ride.

there is lots of parking for motorbikes in all towns. Look out for the 'P' signs above doorways etc. I never had any problems leaving my prized 1974 Vespa anywhere.
As mentioned before, ask the hotel where you are staying. if they have nowhere ask if they have a garage/lock upo or maybe the shop next door has somewhere! You'll be suprised. I left my vespa for 2 weeks in Marrakech while I chilled out. No problems.

My friend joined me on his C90 half way through.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
