storage in Fez or Marrakech?
Hi, all. I am wondering if there are places to keep my bike for few weeks in Fez or Marrakech. Does anyone know something about? Any help or info will be apreciated. Thanks.

Not sure about Fez or Marrakech, but last I checked Biker's Home in Ouarzazate stores bikes if that works for you.

That's correct. Give Peter and BH a call. He's a great bloke and will sort you out. It's only 200-odd km from M to Ouarzazate. F is a lot further.

Thanks, guys. I am gonna try it.

My problem now is time. I asked for a year off (actually 16 months) to ride the World but freedom is gone and I am working again. Fez or Marrakech are just few hours by plane from my home, so if I leave a bike there I can kill the adventure bug any weekend till I save enough money to ride the World again.

Anyway, that place could be a solution.

Hi Miquel, over christmas i stayed here About the Hotel in Marrakech and put my bike in a garage in the courtyard, super safe, and left it there for ten days as i hired a car to show Morocco to my family. He charged me 20 dh a day ( 2 euro ).
On return to hotel bike was untouched and everything was great. would use hotel and garage again without hesitation.

Thanks for informing about this hotel.
Most probably, I'll ride Morocco next summer for my holidays and for sure I'll give it a try.
According to their website, sounds pretty and cheap + biker friendly according to your experience!

I think the problem is for foreigner entering in Morocco with a bike ( note on your passeport), must getting out with the bike, otherwise the next time you entering in Morocco you can have some problems (like paying taxes for a sol bike). Maybe there is a solution with the customs but not easy I guess

That's true. Peter at BH can sort you out with some sort of permission from Moroc Customs so that you can temporarily leave Morocco without your bike. Contact him directly for more details.

Last time I checked, Bikers Home had the customs paperwork sorted, so this shouldn't be a problem. At the time (a year ago?) they were the only place I found in Morocco that knew how to store bikes in compliance with customs requirements.

Just being in Madrid would be an advantage compared to the UK. I'm heading Morocco bound in February and on the return I am planning to leave my Tenere in Malaga with Hana and David at Motoadventours, then I can fly in several times a year on Easyjet.

Given that the ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar is comparatively expensive it's not an ideal solution. Still, it might encourage me to look at Spain and Portugal for some of the visits.

If you find out more about storage inside Morocco I would be interested.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
