UK – Malaga Removalists (bike transport)
Thanks to a tip-off ABR I got Roy Trevor (aka: Moving Matters) to transport my bike to their depot near Malaga. The cost for collection from my place in South London to pick up two weeks later was 520 euro + an optional 60 euro insurance (did not use).
I think they do the run every 10 days or so between their UK hub on Merseyside.
I specified the earliest collection date, a phone number and identified an accessible spot in the nearby park where the lorry could stop, to save jamming itself in our street.
Unfortunately, the bus-sized Roy Trevor lorry turned up there anyway without warning 2 days early with my bike still in its pyjamas. They’d been given none of my information, just my address.
I led them to the park, packed my bike in a hurry and a couple of weeks later collected it from their depot on the edge of Fuengirola, about 30km down the coast from Malaga towards Algeciras.
The bike was under some blankets and in the same condition I'd left it.
They’d offered a hotel delivery for another 50 euros, but I figured better go to the bike than possibly wait hours for a van to turn up.
So - all's well that ends well.
Next time, arriving on a late Easyjet, instead of overnighting in the crumby hinterland near Malaga airport, I’d train straight from the airport station to Fuengirola (30 mins, end of the line; 3 euro), and overnight there. A taxi from FG train station to the Roy T depot (3.4km) was 9 euro.
I dare say there are other UK-Malaga removalists who could do the same job.
Hope it’s of use to someone.

A mate tells me:
Algarve Removals will pick a bike up from anywhere in the UK (South England anyway) and deliver it to their depot near Faro for £300 plus vat. It sits there till you pick it up. €30-50 taxi ride from the airport. If you drop the bike at their UK depot in Andover it's even cheaper. They have bike cages. And weekly transport. Faro to Algeciras is 400 sunny kms.

Sol Moves
We currently have our bikes in storage in Coin, Malaga with these folks who have a nice, clean facility there, as well as offering transport from the UK. They also are able to arrange for motorcycle service. Friendly people. I don't have any idea of their removal costs. Talk to Lee for details.

If anyone’s interested, just got a quote from Sol for an AT:
£630 dropped off at Eastbourne and with a pick up from Malaga airport to their depot at Coin (35km).
Or £582 +about €35 for a taxi.
Algarve Removals also do Malaga:
£420 dropped off at Maldon, Essex depot (not Andover).
Collect from Alhaurín el Grande, 25km west of Malaga (towards Coin) or any place in Malaga area.
A bus from Malaga airport was a couple of quid / 45 mins.
A taxi to the depot a few km out of town was another tenner.
Both use proper bike racks (stillages; below).

Very useful
Chris, a very useful post thank you. I am looking to transport my bike from a West London area to Malaga. I hope others will also share their recommendations to see the options available and costs.

OK, cheers. Good to see that the two you mentioned are using stillages. Plan to be down there next March (2 bikes) for three weeks in Morocco, will give them a tug and get some return prices.

Fyi, just got a quote for a Malaga moto one-way from Continental Express Vehicle Deliveries (uk-spain.com)
'£700 to £800 depending on collection UK location and bike size) we include and handle all the customs procedures and as long as we have the V5, no taxes to pay, no carnet required.'
Iirc, does not sound a whole lot more than pre-Brexit prices or around £600?

Just picking up this old thread, as I'm looking at shipping my UK-registered bike back to the UK from Malaga in April next year.
Spoke to Algarve Removals, who'll do it from Malaga to Effingham (Surrey) for £500, with drop-off a week before. Includes all customs etc.
Not bad!
