Budapest - Bamako
Well most of you seem to have left for the UK HU meet, hopefully missing the rains that appear to be imminent.... oh well.
BUT to soemthing else;
I am seriously thinking of taking part in the Budapest - Bamako rally in order to rais emoney for "Help a London Child", I ma looking or fellow team mates to join me, as I personally have never undertaken something like this before, if you are interested perhaps we can meet up at the HU meet.
I will mention to the organisers who I am, and perhaps they can point me out at some stage during all the proceedings.
Hope to meet some interested people there, otherwise have fun this weekend, in what looks like a great turn out.
Cheers

Sounds like a great idea - unfortunately I never heard anything about it at the Meeting - best of luck though! Send me a link to more on the site and I'll be happy to link to it.

Hi Grant,
Yes, when I got to the meeting, I was introduced to someone who kind of rained on my parade a bit... and I ended up going all shy, and didn't mention it to anyone after that, I just put a handwritten notice up on one of the boards with my email address.
Anyway, I will not be deterred, and am open to ideas, constructive critic, and TEAM MATES!
Here's the link, as yet I have not signed up, as I am still hoping to go as a Team, but if no one registers interest, then I will endeavour to do it on my own!

Thanks again for a great meeting though!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
