Just wondered if I could ask a question or 2.
Is the event semi-serious with more emphasis on the riding etc? I assume that some take it really seriously?
Is this the same event as run the year before as the "Pyrenees up" thats invite only?
Someone also mentioned that the wedding anniversary (that was something else I heard) is a cover story as we shouldn't really be doing it as an event officially and we are just out for a "ride"?
Cheers

I've done the HUMM 2009 and 2010. As you say some take it fairly seriously and others are just there to try some off road in the Pyrenees.
It is well organised but not a competition as such, so no-one needs race numbers, there are no manned checkpoints and not even a spectator grandstand on the start finish straight. But it is the best fun you can have on a bike and does have a nice competitive edge for those who are taking it seriously.

Hello and welcome, if you look down the column on the left, Events, then HUMM, takes you to info, registration, payment......I keep looking, but never sure how work will pan out (poor excuse).

ok, thanks for that, got it!! Paypal is fine.
Now, can I just book it up for myself, and CONFIRM AT A LATER STAGE if I am coming with my own team members, or that I need "pairing" to another team?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
