Krystal rally
Has anyone been to the Krystal rally? Some of us are considering going next year as it is one we have not done. We are going to the Elephant this year and some of us fancy something a bit more "challenging"! Does anyone know the URL for the website as I can't find it on Google.

Is it the Norwegian Krystallrally you're enquiring about? If so, here is the link:
http://www.krystallrally.no/
Will go this year myself on my Ural sidecar rig, Feb 8-12.
Norwegian hard-core winter riders find Krystall-rally to be a bit soft, as you stay in a hotel. The really tough stuff is the Primus rally, where you live in your tent. A truly special experience, when you wake up in the morning to -28 centigrades and people around you are laughing and having a good time... The Primus rally is at Feb 24-26. Send me an e-mail if you want the coordinates for the event.

Excellent, that's the one I was looking for. Does the Primus rally have a website? If so, can you please post the URL for it? As we are doing the Elephant this year, we will almost certainly be interested in 2007!

No, the Primus rally does not - not that I am aware of at least. You can see some pictures from previous Primus rallies here:
http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Outbac...rimus2002.html
and here
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/new...02-03-01.shtml
(search for "primus" on the page - they are pictures taken by fellow Norwegian and HUer Mads Are Heie for the HU E-Zine)
Send me or the Oslo HU community a mail when you start planning, and I'll try to gather some more info for you.
By the way: There are more winter rallies in Norway. The "Heteslaget" (Heat stroke) is arranged 27-29 January, and you also have the Busk Vintertreff 10-12 March (practically spring, with temperatures well above -10 centigrades, but they still call it a winter rally).
For other rallies, have a look at http://www.nmcu.org/tur/index.html once in a while. It will be updated soon.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
