Bracket for a SPOT
I have a SPOT tracker device, just the standard one:
SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger
I am after a decent bracket for mounting on my motorcycle.
Has anyone come across something, or made some thing suitable?
Thanks

eBay and Amazon will have them. Remember it should be at least 12inches from your GPS/sat nav.

Stephen, seriously...?
I'm pretty sure on the pic that's not 12 inch...
sorry... off topic!
Anyway, I tested it with a GPSMAP62, both devices next to eachother and it worked fine. It is possible you get interference but not sure. But trying to keep some distance between the SPOT and the GPS is good.
Also, If you're not going to use the tracker system (the one you need to pay for extra and that puts a dot every 10 minutes on the map) there's no need for a mount in my opinion.
I had no mount and used the SPOT for more than 100 days now. Most of the time it's just in my tankbag or pocket. Only take it out when I want to put a spot on the map. Takes one minute and the SPOT is switched off again and put away. Batteries are still going, month 4 now on the same set. Way better than the 2-3 weeks if you use the tracker...

It's pretty close to 12 inches... That's just what Spot recommend BTW. It does work right next to my a GPS but I couldn't testify to it's long term accuracy or reliability if located right next to another GPS device.
I used the tracking on my last solo adventure for my family and friends interest and piece of mind. Otherwise I would have taken a PLB, something like a McMurdo Fast Find, they're much better IMO but they don't do tracking.
