Eastern europe maps - Tom Tom
Hi guys
Litterally just received a tom tom rider II for my first jaunt to foreign shores, but cant seem to find maps for eastern europe available. Namely Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Does anybody know if these are available for this unit, and if so where ?. Ive checked the tom tom website and asked in a few shops but to no avail.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks

Yes I've had the same problem - I'm afraid the TT is only limited to what's available via the site - which is a shame - it's also the reason my TT is going on ebay and I'll be buying a Garmin.
Shame really because I think the TT is much better put together than the Garmins.

Maps of Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia and Hungary have definitely been released by Tomtom - don't know why you can't get them now.
There are all sorts of TomTom maps floating around the Internet that go further east than the Black Sea, but maybe these are just beta versions because TT never seems to get around to selling them. I can guess why but to be honest I don't know.

Destinator
Try Destinator, it has those maps.
TomTom is better in my opinion by the way, it is easy to use and more stable (Destinator freaks out and crashes too often on my PDA - when it freaks out it is quite amusing I have to say...).

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
