moroc-topo crashes mapsource
hi,
i've downloaded the combined topo and track maps from olaf's website and can run the executable file. the problem occurs when i try and add the files to the registary. i get the message saying that moroc-topo has successfully been added to the registary, but then when i try to run mapsource, i just get a pop up saying there is a problem with mapsource and i need to reinstall it.
help....

Not something I've encountered, and I'm running MarocTopo on three notebook PCs. Probably best to do as suggested and reinstall Mapsource, then install MarocTopo again.
After all these years you would think Windows might be approaching stability!

Reg edit
Check if the place where you have actualy installed Mapsource e.g. C/Garmin or C/ Program files/Garmin is the same as the Regedit of the Moroc map in your reg edit. You can manually adapt the regedit path of the Moroc map to suit where you installed mapsource on your PC. This is always a problem when you install Mapsource somewhere else then directly on the C/ disk. And make sure Mapsource program is closed when you install maps.
Cheers,
Noel

Agree with Noel
It is important that you get the path details in the .reg file correct before merging it with the registry.
I think I made the mistake of using single back slashes (\) as with a typical windows or dos command instead of double back slashes (\\) as needed by the file.
The result of doing it wrong first time around was that MapSource wouldn't play.
