Car registration and entering Marocco
Hello Friends
Late august Im going to Marocco for about 4-5weeks
I'll be travelling with my toyota Hilux.
And I have one question.
What is the situation about car registration?
In documents of my car the owner is BANK, but naxt week I'm going to reregistrate it but the main owner after that will be my MOTHER, and I will be only co-owner.... What do you think about that?
Is it possible to enter marocco not being the main owner of the wehicle you are travelling on?
I know that last time some things have changed and now people from Poland do not need visas for marocco, In 2004 I remember that I needed visa and I had to be a main owner of the car I was travelling with.
Do you know how these situation looks like thesedays?
Or if you dont know, mayby you let me know where I can check it?
(maroccan embassy in Warsaw?)
thanks for your help.

Hi,
All you need is a authorisation/certificate of authority/ warrant by your mum, that you are permitted to drive her vehicle.
Forms for these purpose are usually provided by Automobile Associations.
The Form of the biggest German Automobile Association (in German, French and English) are available here:

The best would be if you get a similar Form from the polish Automobile Association.

So you are sure that If I do have something like these there will be no problems on the maroccan border?
And what if Im not a co-owner? same situation?
again, thanks for help.
Peter

Get the document translated into French
If you want an easy passage get the document translated in to French, whatever happens they will let you in but if you don't want to spend a whole day of hassle then learn French or take a French speaker with you
All the best

Hi Peter,
The document states that the owner permits you to drive his/her car, disregarding if you are the co owner or not. Therefore I would no expect any problems. My personal experience with these documents date back to 2004, when a friend of mine drove a car registered in the name of his girlfriend in Morocco. But I don’t think that the situation has changed since then. But to be on the safe side, asked the Automobile Association of whatever eastern European country you are residing.
