from Morocco to Ethiopia
a family with 2 very small children is starting soon a long travel from Norway via Morocco to Ethiopia. On this jurney we are mostly concerned with documents/travel permissions travelling through
1) Libya
2) from Egypt to Sudan
Entering Ethiopia from Sudan should not be a problem, regarding to the Ethipian Embassy in Stockholm. We don't even need a carnet de passage, just a formal letter of permission from the government which we apply for together with the visa (around a month before entering Ethiopia).
Another question:
* Is there a ferry or similar from Morocco to Tunesia, we would like to avoid Algeria.
* Is there a ferry or similar from Suez to Djibuti? (so that we could avoid driving through Sudan)
* when returning home from Ethiopia, where I do half a year field-work for my studies, is there a possiblity of shipping the car from e.g. Djibuti to North Europe.
Last question:
Are there other crazy families doing such trips with kids just 3 months old and 3,5 years old? Would be nice to exchange experiences.
Thanks Elisabeth
