Getting a visa for Libya at all is proving a difficult task in itself. From what I can gather you must at least apply for your visa in your home country. I have heard of one individual who managed to pick his pre-arranged visa up in Tunis.
Reading www.sahara-overland.com, it seems it is very difficult to get any visa. Experience here in the UK is frustrating and it looks you have to apply in a group of 4 or more and take a guide. We are still looking for 2 more people to join us for Libya in Feb/March 2002, for visa applications if nothing else.

well,
I know an italian can help me to get visa and help me at the border. There is only a problem: It's very expensive, about 250€.
If I do not find other option before the end of november I'll contact him.
If there is problem to cross the border alone or if you have problem too we could arrange to cross togheter, maybe...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
