Mauritanian visa in UK
Hello,
on www.sahara-overland.com i found information about visa procedure in London.
Is it possible to get visa for foreigner (non-English nationality) in London. I ask about it because I've friend living in London and he can do all the formalities for me.
Thanks from advantage.

It is not usually possible, unless you can prove residency in that country. Ie, if you have residency in the UK, you can usually get your visa in the embassy there, regardless of your own nationality.
That's the bad news.
The good news if if your country to visit does not have an embassy or consulate in your own country, then you are obliged to use one elsewhere.
Confused?
Basically, if there is an embassy in Poland, you are pretty much obliged to use it. If not (and I'm guessing not, because otherwise why ask?!), then using the one in the UK should work.
Sam.

Thanks a lot, Sam. We don't have Mauritanian embassy here in Poland. I know two guys from Poland, who organised visas in Geneva. Geneva or Berlin (the two nearest RIM embassies) are much closer than London, but if I have a friend living there, that will be much easier for me. But, can he do all the job for me (formally)? I know that he must send me some visa form, and I must send it back to him with my passport.
Maybe someone have the RIM visa form in electronic format (doc, rtf, pdf or anything) or there some www site to download it?

Hi bUgI
Nearest embassy would be Berlin, look att this homepage of the Consul; http://www.konsulspieker.de/
You will find application forms and information etc...
I got a visa after some weeks, important to send money for return postage!
