Mauritanian Visa questions...
1/ Can anyone tell me how long the London issued visas are valid for? Eg valid for 6 months but limited to 30 days from the date of entry.
2/ Are the Cassa’ issued visas still only valid for 30 days from the date of issue?
3/ Has anyone ever extended a visa successfully over there? If so, is it possible in either Nouadhibou or Attar..or is it just a fun day out in Nouakchott?
Thanks in advance

We just got our visa in Casablanca yesterday. It is valid for 2 months, single entry.
The price has changed: everybody has to pay 200 DH now for a single entry visa, no exceptions. (also the paid amount of 200 DH is being written in your passport)
If you apply in Casablanca, do not forget to bring 2 COLORphotos of yourself and photocopies of part 1, 2 and 3 of your passport. Ready the same day if you apply between 9 and 10 a.m.
Good luck!

My brother and me, we crossed in October 2001 without anything south of Dakla. Got the Visa on the border that time. That worked for Austrians at that time! Senegal is easy as well, but into Mali, Niger, Lybia and Algeria you need a Visa!

We got our Mauritanian visas extended in Atar. We just gave them to the owner at Bab Sahara and he took care of it for us. Same day service. Can't remember the cost, but it was very cheap.
cheers
