Off to Morocco in 4 weeks, enough cash ?
Hi People
The trip is for 3 months from early November 08, December and January, getting home early February 09.
The destination is Spain Portugal and Morocco, with the emphasis on Morocco. I’m leaving the cash for covering bills in an account while I’m gone, unfortunately the credit card is paying for the trip so, I’m trying to minimise the damage.
If, when you arrived in Spain, you had 2000/2500 in euros; could you make it last the trip? I’m guessing its best to clear Spain and Portugal as fast as I can, leaving only fuel and food while I go off exploring all the routes in the Sahara overland book (CS)
Regards
Shaun

Hmm... how long is a piece of string?
Accommodation/food in Spain about €40 per day (roadside hostels €25)
Return ferry to Morocco varies tremendously by season, maybe €80
Accommodation/food in Morocco around €20-€30 per day (accommodation say 200dh)
Fuel... depends where you go

It looks like my group trip to Tunisia isn't going to work, so I may switch to Morocco if you want company. I was there in 05 on 4 wheels briefly - like to do it again, esp the Atlas, by bike. Not as long as you though - 3 weeks max.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
