When do you need them ?
I'm building a set of Garmin GPS maps....... if you're willing to check them out for me I'll send you a set for that corner of the world.
When are you going to be there ? My laptop is chewing through several Gb of data to compile them so it'll be while before they're ready.

Hello Frank & Ferdi,
Thanks for the links. They are almost what I want, except that the maps are 1:500 000. Do you know if there is a similar service offering 1:200 000 maps?

Happy Hacker - hi, i'm drifting towards Mongolia, this fantastic project you are undertaking cover anywhere East of Austria ?
I'm really struggling to find reasonable (if any) digital maps that go East, looking for where Autoroute ends all the way to Bering Straits ! via Turkey.
I'm more than happy to help out with some form of testing if i can in any way, may even be able to offer update info e.g. - free wifi gps co-ords ! or camping co-ords ?
Phil.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
