US welcomes Libya's 'Lockerbie offer'
Any idea if they let Americans into Libya?

Americans are not permitted to enter Libya by the American Govt., unless they have prior permission (business reasons etc.).
That having been said, I don't know how closely US Immigrations check through the visa pages of American nationals' passports. I suspect not too closely.
The Libyans couldn't care less!
Sam.

Just to support above, I was in the US in mid-november, just one week after returning from Libya. I was a bit concerned, as aside the fresh Libyan stamps my passport is full of visas like Syria, Lebanon, etc - they whisked me through in two minutes (and spent about 15 mins with a Swiss businessman in front of me because he had an open ticket with no booked return date !)
Probably it's possible to get the Libyan visa on a separate sheet for US passports, just like it's the norm in Israel if you want to use your passport to go to Libya for instance.

Let's not jump to hasty conclusions about enlightement here...
On our last trip, with the visa procedure started 2 months in advance, and all paperwork in order, half of our group of seven had still no visas two days before departure - each system have their own peculiar ways to frustrate...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
