visum mali

Hello,
what is the best place to get a Mali-visum when you come overland from Europe? We were planning to buy it in advance in Brussels but it's only valable for one month so that will be to short for us.
Thank you for your advices.

Mali visa is easily available in Rabat, Morocco.

I dropped off in the afternoon and collected the next day.

The Mali embassy is about 200 metres down the road from the Mauritanian embassy in Rabat, so it is a good place to get both visas. I dont have my GPS handy, but the points for the RIM embassy have been posted here before.

cheers

Visas

U can get both visas at the borders. The Mali visa also in Nouakchott within 2-3 hours. Both cheaper than in Europe.

Hope that helps

Getting the visa in advance gives you more flexibility on where to cross the border. Last year, we got the visa in Nouakchott (took about an hour, we waited in the office) and then crossed Kiffa-Kayes, a very nice route which has no border post.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
