There is tarmac road being built from Zagora to Foum Zguid so be quick .
The track is easy to follow, when entering Zagora drive up to the roundabout at the '52 jours' sign and turn right go straight onto the dirt to the right of the tarmac, follow this past the airfield and continue down that valley for 60kms or so when the valley opens out bear right , the track stays on the left of the valley ,( if you get mixed up just follow the road construction from bridge to bridge) continue to the palmery where you will find the tarmac road turn south , zguid is a few kms away.
if we are not camping we stay at the hotel scirocco on the track below the mountain with the masts on it, air con works and the pool is nice ( owner is ex paris-dakar competitor).
don't know anywhere in Zguid we usually camp just south of there.
Avoid the mechanic in Zagora who rides up on a moped and say's he can do everything ( wears nissan overalls) named Mohamed ( aren't they all) he is a muppet only use him to go and get things for you he knows every one but cannot mechanic to save his life, every time we visit he tries to tell us things that are wrong with our vehicles and gives us a price, and every time he is talking Sh!t.Last week Mitsubishi where testing the EVO's for the Dakar I bet he even tried to tell them how to fix there cars.
