Where to find a Landcruiser?
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I'm looking to buy and equip a TLC for overland trips into Southern Europe, Turkey, and eventually mid-east and Sahara. "Sahara Overland" says they are more common in Europe than in UK. Does anyone know of specific sources of vehicles (e.g. importers, "import-friendly" European dealers, etc,)? Any web-sites you can point me towards? (Looking to spend £5000 - £6000 on the base vehicle).
Thanks in anticipation
Mark

You could by a very good 62 (turbo - 4 rec headlamps) in the UK for that sort of money (try Auto Trader etc) or privately in France. Try www.4x4-annonces.com.
There is no need to use an import dealer as buying in the EU is simple - just buy it, bring it home and reregister it here.
But have a good look in the UK first before complicating things abroad.

Mark,
I Inspected a TLC, 1988 Registered import in very good condition that has done two trips to africa already.
It is based in chester and the owners are keen to sell, for a bit more than you are looking to spend, but she is basically ready to go today, so you don't have to do any outfitting.
Send me an email if you are interested and i'll send you the owners details. I am registered on this site.....
cheers

Rachel,
I'd be also interested. Can you check the email address as it appears incorrect.
