national parks pass as well!

Look into getting a National parks pass as well.. Then u don't pay the entry fee evrytime u go into a national park and camping fee (i think) are cheaper.. I live in texas and use the Texas State Parks (pass) saves me a lot of $$$ in the long run!

The above is only - if u plan on going to all the NAtional Parks - which I would say u are crazy if u don't do them!

For the National Parks Pass just look up the National PArks - and u can get one at the first Park u visit - and not pay the entry fee there!

That link is for RV parks most say they dont have tent camping. Carnet de passage is something all together different.

National Park Service - Experience Your America
is what most people think about when talking about camping in the USA. There is a card you can get hrom them and well worth it for any one spending any time in USA national parks.
U.S. National Park Service America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass
It dose NOT get you 50% off on your camping. There is the Golden pass but there no longer handed out seems people where fibing on there application many went to people not even living in the USA bilking the parks department out of millions, the tax payers are refusing to fund a park they dont have the time off to see.
There are also state ran campgrounds some of them have pass but thats a state to state thing and Im not looking all 50. There are county parks that some have camping no one in there right mind is going to look all them up and there are privit campgrounds some are franchised like KOA Camping and Campgrounds - KOA Kampgrounds of America, Inc. I dont care for them.

But your like me are a cheap bastard lets start here Free Campgrounds in the USA ahh free camping. Then bam FREE overnight camping, state-by-state all kindas free camping there. Heres a book on it Amazon.com: Don Wright's Guide to Free Campgrounds: Western Edition (Don Wright's Guide to Free Campgrounds Western Edition): Don Wright: Books

Then there is off road sleeping some states let you pull off the road and sleep if they see a tent and your too close to the road they will make you move on. And my new faverit rest stop camping stay off main hyways and you will be fine. there is alwas boondocking or ruff camping Boondocking (Free Camping)

Cheers,

Honesy.

Its $80 US its good for the holder and the passengers so you only need one if your 2 up. Good for one year. You can get it online or at the park. here is the link for the online shop America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass .
