Motorbike and Camping store's in Southern California???
Hi,
I will be landing in Los Angales California on the 21st of June and will have a few days down time while waiting for my bike to get here.
Do any of you know where I can get quality camping gear, dry-bags, travel cup and a few more bits?
Also looking for a MC shop, for a new lid and gloves.
Will be heading for Mexico within a week of arrival, any one heading that way?

For camping gear, go to REI. REI – Top-Brand Outdoor Clothing, Footwear & Gear for Spring Adventures

REI is the best for quality and selection. Do you have transport on arrival? If so head for Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino or Malcolm Smith's in Riverside. Hour and a half out of LA, but both a great one-stop-shop for gear. Wide selection....LA has London , big city pricing. There is also a big dealer in the vicinity of LAX, but high priced. If you have trouble bike-wise, my brother owns a mobile bike repair including a dyno. Let me know and I'll hook you up....cheers, Bill

Thanks,
I will rent a car for a couple of days, so will get to have a look at those stores.
If I need any bike work done , I will be in touch

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
