Storing a bike in Miami

Hi, a few months ago I was looking for a place to store a bike on the West Coast. Plans change .

I wanted to ship my GS and ended up buying a 2009 klr in Illinois in April (4500 miles). I rode it all the way to Vegas via Arkansas, New Mexico, etc. I went back to Belgium to work and I have just spent August riding from Vegas to DC, with a little detour to visit San Francisco. I will be in DC until the end of the week, then I will ride to Miami. Originally my plan was to ship the klr to Chile but for personal reasons it will have to wait. I will store the bike somewhere in Miami, preferably for a reasonable price. I still dont know where though - any ideas ? - until May and then do the TAT. Travelling in the Western part of the US was really amazing.

normally i'd offer you space in my garage, but i will be moving in 2 months and not sure what facilities i'll have in the new place. there are plenty of vehicle storage places around but they're not super cheap.

how much do you feel like spending? i have some friends with a garage a bit north of miami and they might be convinced to rent out some garage space.

Hola Javier ! Quizas ... Estabas en la boda ? Estoy buscando en Miami porque estare alli con mi novia y tendremos poco tiempo.

Hi Teevee, thanks for the idea. I would be happy to pay something like 50 - 60 a month. It is what I pay to park my bike normally.

Saludos

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
