bike rental in Tiflis, Georgia

Hi there,
I am planning a short visit to Georgia in April. Does anyone know where I can rent a bike in Tiflis for a couple of days and for a reasonable price? A small enduro bike like a Honda XR250/400 would be perfect, but a larger scooter (100cc plus) with big wheels would also be ok. Not looking for big, expensive and fancy bikes.
Cheers
Peer

Hi,
I was in Georgia last summer. I don't know if you they rent bikes somewhere cause we didn't see any bikes on the road (except foreign travellers). Good luck and be careful, they drive like crazy!

I echo Vdh-be.

August 2010, some days and many km. around Tbilisi, Gori, the border with Azerbaijan and the entire Georgian Military Road up to Kazbegi and back: the only motorcycles I saw were the Harley-Davidsons of mine () and of RTWdoug from the HUBB + an Italian guy astride an Africa Twin + a large group of GS 1200 ADV riders from Poland...
Those were the only bikes I saw.

As far as I remember, I never spotted any shop with the sign "motorcycle rental" or at least something that might seem to be a place where they could rent a motorcycle...

Motorcycle Rental

I have a motorcycle in Georgia right now. In Tbilisi, that I'd be willing to rent to you for free if you could change the oil for me, and clean and lube the chain / do some basic checkup etc on it. I left it behind when I ran out of money mid trip, and its currently in storage, though I cannot confirm in what condition, as the hotel I originally was storing it at, had to move the bike due to renovations. Its a 2005 suzuki vstrom, DL1000. I know its bigger than you're looking for, but I had a grand time riding it all over Georgia, and the whole way from California there for that matter!
Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
-Greg
PS Any fees they charge to remove the bike from storage I will cover.

Hey all,
I´m looking as well for a motorbike in Tbilisi. Staying here till end of september..
Does anybody know a place where to rent a motorbike or buy a cheap one? could be also a scooter if its harder to find a real motorbike.
@Lindi: besides the opportunity, that Greg would borrow you his bike, did you find any other possibilities to rent a bike in Tbilisi yet?

Best regards,
craasp

If something is offered free, think TWICE...

Interesting offer to rescue the problem bike in a different way..
Once personally made some studies in Turkey East Gates and Georgia honestly to rescue it as a favour but then gave up because didn't meet any sincere and honesty..

1-My first mail for details was replied with some months delay?????..
2-My mails asking for the copies of the documents to take action are never replied yet.

Still keep all mails..Was just a humanity help....

Former details here...So better to be careful for free offers...

I was living in Gudauri this past winter. My friend Niko in Tiblisi might be able to help. He has an old 400 suzuki and a ktm 690 supermoto. He can probably point you in the right direction. Niko speaks good English, fluent Russian and Georgian.

I guess I bring this one up again...
wondering about bike rental opportunities in Tbilisi, as it seems to be too complicated to bring the own bike, for a 1.200 km trip...
So what is the situation there, in 2015?
Cheers.
