Buying a bike in Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan
Hi guys,
I have a royal enfield here in the UK, and am thinking of shipping it to Kyrgyzstan for £750, meeting it there, and driving it back the the UK.
Would it be more attractive an option to try and just buy a cheaper bike out in Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan? Or would I run into problems bringing it over borders, especially in Europe.
It would certainly save my bike a lot of damage and cost of shipping, but is it even possible to bring a bike from central Asia into the UK?
If anyone has any better ideas I am open!
Thanks in advance,
Jamie

Kyrgyzstan
I have heard of several that have bought bikes here and road them to wherever. As long as you have the proper documents there should not be any trouble. A Swiss man bought a KLR here that was registered in the States and road it everywhere without any trouble. He is now on a bicycle in Ethiopia and his KLR is sitting here for sale, if you like.

Did you find a bike
Hi. I'm planning a trip through the 'stans of this year and curious if you were able to finally buy a bike? What was the process?
I'm hoping to buy a bike in either Tashkent, Bishkek, or Almaty around April.
Thanks
