Naadam Mongolia 2019

The Naadam Festival will be in UB from 11 July to 15 July.I already found this here about Naadam outside of Ulan Baatar at lonelyplanet (https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntr...he-countryside)

All events take place in the capital town of the province
Date / Province / Capital of province (place names in Mongolian for your driver)
July 5-6 Ömnögovi (Өмнөговь) / Dalanzadgad (Даланзадгад)
July 7-8 Govisümber (Говьсүмбэр) / Choir (Чойр)
July 9-10 Dornod (Дорнод) / Choibalsan (Чойбалсан)

July 9-10 Töv (Төв) / Zuunmod (Зуунмод)
July 10-11 Arkhangai (Архангай) / Tsetserleg (Цэцэрлэг)

July 10-11 Khövsgöl (Хөвсгөл) / Mörön (Мөрөн)
July 10-11 Uvs (Увс) / Ulaangom (Улаангом)
July 10-11 Khovd (Ховд) / Khovd (Ховд)
July 10-11 Sükhbaatar (Сүхбаатар) / Baruun-Urt (Баруун-Урт)
July 10-11 Övörkhangai (Өвөрхангай) / Arvaikheer (Арвайхээр)
July 10-11 Bayankhongor (Баянхонгор) / Bayankhongor (Баянхонгор)
July 10-11 Selenge (Сэлэнгэ) / Sükhbaatar (Сүхбаатар)
July 12-13 Bayan-Ölgii (Баян-Өлгий) / Ölgii (Өлгий)
July 18-20 Darkhan-Uul (Дархан-Уул) / Darkhan (Дархан)
July 27-29 Bulgan (Булган) / Bulgan (Булган)
July 27-29 Dornogovi (Дорноговь) / Sainshand (Сайншанд)

Does anyone already know a place where Naadam will be less crowded than in UB but maybe even more worth watching too on our tour next year?

Thanks in advance...

Naadam itself is from 11.-13.7. And the same every year.
Thats the official dates.

But it takes different dates across the country
begining of August I saw a Naadam near Kharkhorin.

It is hard to say, the problem is that you have the horserace, and you dont really see anything except in the finish...

So I think the Naadam in UB is not to bad, because you have everything in one spot.
And alo all the people watching the whole thing.
They get theyr best Mongolian clothes and fo to the Naadam

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
