You could have avoided all this hassle and just rode bike across russia... I did it in July. And now you still have your bike trapped in Azerbaijan and need to ship it out and fly to get to Georgia.. just saying.

"Trapped in Azerbaijan" !?  Just as I said in my original post above, it is possible to ride your bike from Azerbaijan to Georgia. I did.
My bike is now spending the winter in Armenia (12 month TIP available) and I'll return to Armenia/ Georgia in the early summer next year and then ride home to Bulgaria via Turkey.
