Turkmenistan visa
Hi guys
I have just got my Turkmenistan visa or at least a letter to say that they have approved it. When I spoke to the embassy here in the UAE they have told me that it will be better to just give me the letter as the visa will have fixed dates on it that cannt be changed.
The letters states that border zones to be visted Sarahs, Farap now this is not the border that I want to exit Iran from I want to exit at Bajgiran. I have spoke to the conslaute and he tells me that this is no problem, and will not reissue a new letter.
Does any one have any advice or had this type of thing happen to them? Does any one think that there will be a problem getting in to Turkmenistan once I have left Iran as I only have a single entry visa for Iran.

On my case I also had different borders on my transit visa, but they fixed those at the border and drew a map which route I should take and not to go anywhere else.
I think the case is that they do not really care at the border, you just enter from one and leave through another one, you tell them which one to exit when you enter the country.

hmm
Hey Peter,
I like the route you've chosen, nice work.
Does anyone know about getting visas online for the 'Stans? Has anyone had any experience of doing this? I'm an Australian and we have no embassy for Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan and I plan on heading through these in the coming months. Hmm
Cheers!

Now Uzbekistan visa is submitted online, but it gets personal. For the remaining stans can be sent by courier. So it is in Europe.

Hi Drew
When are you going?? Whats your route going to be? We are also planning to head that way, leaving South Africa in May, so might meet along the way. Please share any info you find regarding visas etc!
Cheers

info ... having seen the Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, I asked transit visa for Turkmenistan, I was denied, they say I have to travel for 10 days, but this leads me to have a local guide behind?
