Want to share a container from Everett (Seattle) to Vladivostok, Russia with us?
We are looking for someone to share a container with us from Everett (little north of Seattle) to Vladivostok, Russia in June 2011. They go once a month dirrectly to Vlad. or weekly via Korea.
This is the price quote I got couple of months ago:
----------
20’ container rate
Commodity: Motorcycles, NOS
From: Everett, WA USA
To: Vladivostok, Russia
Rate: $2502/20’ ($2575/20’ from Jan 1st)
Additional costs
$ 200 handling & doc fee
$ 75 Customs clearance
Container trucking & blocking/bracing fee additional and would have to get a rate quote
------------
The shipping takes 2-3 weeks if direct, a week longer if via Korea.
Let us know if you are interested and we will email you all the details and contacts for the shipping company if you like.
We have two bikes.

Cost per bike?
Approximately how many bikes in a 20' container?
I've heard Vlad customs can take a week or two to get your bikes.

Approx. $700 per bike total.
Hi Kestler KLR.
You can fit 5 in the 20' container, we have done that in the past and it worked great with all the gear still on them. If they are small (250s or smaller), 6 could fit. Yeah, the customs could be a bit of pain (isn't it always? ), but we might be getting some help (for a fee) in Vlad. We will see once we get there. There are some helpful contacts here on the HUBB in Vlad. If we' ll see that it would be too difficult to do it ourselves, then we will use them. The help runs around $100 per bike.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
