Land Rover 200tdi 110 for Sale, Near Lands End
Finally decided to sell our lovely Dino .....
He's ready to go for another trip, and never once broke down on our 20k mile trip to Sydney
See websites for detail, open to offers. My recommendations would be for a newbie looking for a cheap trip to buy him up as he's ready to go and simple as they come.
Got most things you could imagine such as winch, roof tent, shower, fridge etc, and all work was done by Foleys, include a full service and prep for MOT on return from Oz.
We're down in South West England, but could put up anyone interested (free break in Cornwall) and could also give some green laning lessons on fields ...

Thanks for that ... both major achievements in our lives!
We're back in Cornwall now, trying to figure out how to earn a living, having rejected (whilst we can afford to) the career based life, gulp.
We'd love to keep Dino, and have looked at many ways to continue with him, but the set up just doesn't suit a child seat!

Having struggled in Cornwall looking for work I understand your problem...however boat building (that's your bag isn't it?) should be alot easier esp. with a boat building school down in Falmouth.
The UK is full of overland prepped Landies at the moment so I wish you luck in selling Dino but, in time, you should be able to sell all the kit.
Anyway, good luck and congratulations again on the birth of your daughter!

Ha!
My bag is I.T., although I'd love to be aboat builder! In fact I am a bit of a telcoms specialist, so there is no work (even at Porthcurnow). We'll see what happens
Yes, there does seem to be a lot of prepped vehicles for sale at the moment, but I am hoping that the ease of viewing ours will be the winner
I might even write up a full spec ...

Tell me about it.... getting work is a pain now (also in IT) i'm signed off by the hospital
Lots of landys supposidly expedition prepped - or with a load of toys bolted on, big difference !

Hi Ollie,
Well done. Given your comment re child seat, assume you didn't go through with converting it to a 4 door. Where did you get to on that? Toying with whether to convert the pink thing as would make it easier with the troops as part of overhauling it but not sure whether its a straight forward, makes as much sense?
Good luck with selling it. Hopefully someone else does another cool trip with it.
Cheers Tobias

Hey Toby! Great to hear from you. we often think of the great weekend we spent with you! Really great fun, and gave us a great boost for the trip! Hope you guys are well .......
As for the car - Foleys reckoned to do it properly it would be £1000+, perhaps up to £2000, so we gave up on it. They offered to do a bodge as well, but that didn't really suit our needs.
We have an old discovery that my dad bought for £400, and thats serving us well at the moment, and are considering some crazy ideas at the moment, such as a caravan, trailer tent or similar, but can't make up our minds.
Have even considered sorning Dino until we can go for a trip again, because once Meghan is old enough she will fit in the middle seat ....
Cheers
Ollie

Hi Ollie,
Was a nice weekend. Would be good to catch up again. Family going well. Have had similar debates re pink thing. We have two fold out tracker seats in the back so can manage. Truck is less reliable than it was so usual debate of whether to go with practical option and just replace with something newer that works or stick with it because of all the history and overhaul it. Potential to convert it, given if we are properly overhauling then will probably strip it down anyway so would already have part of the cost.
Cheers Tobias

Interested
Hi Chris,
Are you interested, if so I will pm/email you the spec.
I dont want to post it on here as we are slowly using up bits and bobs of the kit ourselves (especially as I have now bought the shell of an old trailer tent as the start of the next project).
The essence are a 200tdi, 2 door, 110 1992 Defender. Has the usually overlanding kit such as under body protection, helper back suspension, roof rack, winch, shower etc etc. 200k miles, but ready for the next 200 (never once broke down on our 20k mile trip) Was fully service on our return by Foleys.
Currently deciding whether to keep the roof tent and fridge ...

Reason: Thinking about keeping the roof tent, and not the rack, that will stay ...
