Overland Cruiser WANTED!
Hi. I'm based in the UK and am looking for a fully or partially prepared 70 or 80 series Landcruiser for an Africa overland trip. I simply don't have the time or the facilities to prepare one myself (prepping a car on the road outside my house in S London wouldn't be ideal!). I'd like to get used to it over here before beginning my trip, so am only really interested in ones that are available in the UK. Although I'd consider one already in Tanzania! So if anyone has/knows of one for sale, please let me know. Budget around £12k or less

Thanks Kevin. Yes, I'm keeping my eye on Africa 4x4 cafe. I want to find one in the UK so that I check it properly before I ship it out, and most of the ones on the 4x4 cafe forums seem to be already out there. It's a waiting game!

I think it will be very hard to find a fully prepped landcruiser for sale for that price.
I have a 2000 model 78 series I will be selling in Cape Town, and this will be around £20k. I hope you find something suitable in your price range, but I have a feeling you might have to look at other models too.
I suppose it all depends what you mean with fully prepped too.
Good luck with your search.

Hi. Just to let you know I've now managed to buy a 75 series pick up. It needs overland preparing, but is in good condition. I'll have to forgo a few of the "nice to haves", but it should get me there and home at least. I'll post some pics as it comes along.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
