Service history:
A full service has been done by Allan (Mr. Toyota) on 11/29/2013 at AEW Auto in Cape Town. Allan specializes in Hiluxs and preparing them for overland trips. Brakes and carb completely overhauled on 05/22/2013. It is mechanically 100% and ready for a Southern Africa trip. I have receipts and paperwork regarding all the services. I change the oil and oil filter myself at 5,000 KM intervals.
Paperwork:
The vehicle is registered in my name in South Africa and transferring the paperwork will consist of taking the vehicle for a roadworthy and filling out some forms. I didn’t have a problem as a foreigner.
Extras included:
High lift jack, air compressor, tow ropes and tie downs. Cooler, camping chair storage boxes, stove, pots, pans, plates, bowls, and eating utensils. Sheets, blanket and pillows for tent. Detailed maps, travel books, and other guides.
Bottom line:
I bought this vehicle on 10/28/2013 and is currently for sale. I am in Namibia and willing to discuss options about meeting somewhere.
I paid 85,000 Rand for the vehicle before I started preparing it for my trip and put a lot more into it for the peace of mind knowing the engine, drive train and everything else is 100%. The sale price is 85,000 Rand or 8,500 USD or any other currency equaling the same amount.
This is a solid Hilux ready for an adventure. Are you???
