Mauritania

It is with reluctance that we are selling our home for the last 2.5 years, Charlotte.

She has UK plates & an African sunset motif, so we reckon she was always destined to come here. Unfortunately, we can't drive to where we are going, so we have to part ways with the van.

She's been on the road in the Sahara for a while & has picked up scuffs and loosened nuts, but goes well. There have been small African bricolage repairs when parts aren't available, eg a wooden window, & you may want to spruce her up a bit, but she's ready to go for whoever takes her, is comfortable, and so convenient. We go off the beaten track, stop and sleep everywhere. We love the van.

One thing which I wanted to do is to change the roller and handle on the sliding door. The handle is on sale in Nouakchott, but the roller needs to be searched for 2nd hand or ordered, & I haven't had the time.

Charlotte is kitted out with all the basics, and some other bits and pieces.

Kitchen: double stove, oven, gas connection, electric cool box. Sink and 25l tank to tap. Lots of kitchenware & bidons. Cupboards, boxes.

Bed and sitting area conversion. Boards go down and the seat cushions make the bed. There's a removable table and underseat storage, plus another small cupboard. We put a small wardrobe in there but it has been taken out, the buyer could do the same if they need more storage. Seats 4 comfortably, 6 possible. Sleeps 2.

There's a relay system with battery just 1 year old.

Outdoor folding table and 2 folding chairs.
Outdoor mats .
Basic tools for vehicle and Jack.
Charging areas for phones, etc, by USB.
Electric inverter to power other devices from leisure battery.
Long cable for electric hook up and plugs.
Large tent, 6 berth, I believe.
Camping shower and bucket.
Mosquito net.
Emergency pack, the legal stuff needed for travelling on roads in Europe.
