UK reg Ex prepped TLC 80 in EAST AFRICA
FOR SALE IN EGYPT OCT 2012 TO APRIL 2013 OR ANYWHERE IN EAST AFRICA FROM AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2013 (see latest post)
In October/November it will be that time of year when our car comes out of duty free storage for the desert season. As this may be our last year in Cairo before heading further away, one option is to sell to someone heading South, hence....

New Clutch last year transformed the car.
Please see previous post for pictures, I’ll try and insert a link. All bodywork fixed since previous posts. HERE
I am uncertain of the complications of transferring from my carnet to a new carnet, but I hope it could be done simply at the Egyptian Touring Club which is the RAC equivalent here or at the duty free compound at the airport. Worst case scenario would be transferring on the exit/entry to Egypt. (OK I’m an optimist).
I bought the car unseen 7 years ago, and it worked out for me, so if anyone else is brave enough to take a chance on trust, please get in touch.
I’m on kindle only email for the next week, so please be patient awaiting replies. (I did mention that I’m an optimist)
Thanks for reading, if you made it this far through my somewhat garbled post. Cairo accommodation and desert trips included

Hi Jamie,
Is your car still available? If yes have you figured out how an overseas buyer could get it back to the UK?

Hi Jamie
Just following up Jon's post, was wondering if the vehicle is still available? I would be very interested in picking it up in Cairo for a trip heading south.
Thanks
Dan

TLC 80 in Egypt
Jamie
IS the car still for sale. We have a group that want to travel from Cairo to Nairobi in Feb 2013.
Your car has advantages - it is on the start line!
Please let me know if it is worth carrying on this line of investigation.
Many thanks

Latest Plan
Dear All,
While there remains a few possibilities for sale here or to people in neighbouring countries, it's looking probable that we will be heading S from Egypt in July. We plan to park up in Kenya or Tanzania and head for the himalayas for Oct/Nov.
The car is for sale at any point enroute or in near-by East African countries. The car will get the full works check up and new BFG AT before we leave here.
