I did plan to go but the Canon price rise forced my hand and I've had to buy my new lens already. I'm sort of spent out now, for the rest of the year! Are you still looking for a new tripod? There may be some good deals there. Have fun.

My freebie trade tickets have only just arrived, quite a bit later than normal and I haven't seen as much advertising as usual. Times are obviously hard in the snapping world with a few well known names doing a Woolies.
I haven't looked at who's there this year but I wouldn't be surprised to see a smaller list than last year. The way the corporate grim reaper has been sything through the pro labs - and that before the Crunch- I'd be amazed if any of the survivors have the cash to fund a stand.
I do tend to go each year but I'm not sure why. I always come away with a weariness borne of cynicism determined not to go again but I've usually forgotten it all 12 months later. If I do go it won't be until the Tues at the earliest as fortunately I'm in France til then.

The band keeps playing while the ship goes down is coming to mind.
Could be fun seeing how far you can beat down the dealers though?

Mornin' Chaps & Chapesses,
I must admit that it used to be an annual visit for myself but I gave up last year, as it became more of a Ground Hog Day event than something of interest.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
