Crash Bars and 24k Inspection between Budapest and Athens
Hey Everybody,
I am doing a little bike trip from Munich, Germany to Georgia with my Honda CB 500 X from 2019.
I already spend almost one month in Slowakia and Romania. Had great trip until now!
However I need to organise a few things for my bike. Preferable somewhere between BUDAPEST, Hungary and ATHENS, Greece.
1. Get decent Motor Crash Bars
2. Do the 24k Inspection.
○ I would love to find a nice small place where I could learn how to do the checkup an replace spare parts. I am not left handed but I am missing tools, spare parts and basic knowledge.
○ The inspection includes (next to basic check ups) replacement of
§ Air filter
§ Spark plugs
§ Engineoil
§ Engineoil filter
I am super happy for any advice to get to know good places for my two tasks somewhere between the two cities stated above. I already thought of Motocamp Bulgaria. Would be a little dtour but possible.
Best,
Elsorro

IMHO, I'd get the parts (or email him to ask if he can get them for you) then go and see Doug at Motocamp- what you ask for he can do in his sleep and he's a helpful chap too (even if he (probably still) does need a way overdue haircut !!)
Budapest link
Athens link
other options- chime in!

Hey Toyark,
Thanks for your support!!
I already got in contact with motocamp Bulgaria and would love to go there but just figured out that I won't make it in time.
I'll try your tip with Karasna Store in Budapest since I try to avoid Athens city center looking at the temperatures!
Also if you know a garage where I could park my bike close to Athen for a week feel free to let me know.
Cheers,
Elsorro

You are welcome
Glad it may help. There are quite a few Honda places out there.
Can I also suggest you place a message in the COMMUNITIES on the hubb for the corresponding countries?
This enable members with valuable local info to respond to you.
Enjoy
Pity you cannot make it to Doug- he really would be not only able to help but also show you a thing or two.
If engines bars could not be found, he might know of a local welder who could make up a set for you.
Re parking, contact the Greek Community. It is also worth knowing that some motorcycle dealerships, for a fee, can lock up your moto.

I know it s a pitty! Motocamp Bulgaria sounds like a lot of fun!
If possible I am going to pay him a visit on my way back or even after going to Athens!
All the best,
Elsorro
